In May 2024, we signed a contract with the Kobierzyce Commune for Conducting a nature inventory and valorisation of the Kobierzyce Commune and producing a study entitled: ‘Nature inventory of the Kobierzyce Commune.’
The nature inventory covers the entire area of the Kobierzyce Commune within its administrative boundaries, taking into account ecological links and impacts with neighbouring areas.
The main aim of the assignment is to make a natural valorisation of the commune area by:
A comprehensive nature inventory of the Kobierzyce Commune will be carried out throughout the year. It will cover all seasons and the entire growing season, which will make it possible to collect detailed data on the natural resources of the area under study.
An inventory will be made of the flora and fauna of Kobierzyce commune: plants, natural habitats invertebrates, amphibians and reptiles, birds, mammals including bats.
The inventory will also include elements of inanimate nature, i.e. geological outcrops, boulders, springs, objects and places of geological formations, accumulation of fossils, fragments of exploited and inactive surface excavations, watercourses and water reservoirs.
Work on the project was divided into three stages.
Stage I – camera work. This stage consists of collecting and analysing available data (published and unpublished) on the study area. This work allows for a preliminary knowledge of the area and the selection of the potentially most valuable sites in the municipality.
Stage II – field inventory. The stage that lasts the longest and involves carrying out a comprehensive nature inventory in the field. It covers all seasons of the year and the entire plant growing season. During this time, elements of inanimate nature are also inventoried.
Stage III – data compilation. The final stage consisting of analysing and compiling field data to produce a comprehensive inventory and valorisation of Kobierzyce Commune.
We are currently in the process of completing Stage II, which will last until the end of June 2025.
