Strategic environmental impact assessment (SEA) is a procedure that is carried out for certain types of documents developed or adopted by administrative bodies or other entities performing public functions.
The aforementioned documents include projects:
The Concept of National Spatial Development, the study of the conditions and directions of the municipality's spatial development, the spatial development plan and the development strategy, setting the framework for the subsequent implementation of projects that may significantly affect the environment;
Policies, strategies, plans and programs in the fields of industry, energy, transportation, telecommunications, water management, waste management, forestry, agriculture, fisheries, tourism and land use, developed or adopted by administrative bodies, setting the framework for the subsequent implementation of projects that may significantly affect the environment;
Policies, strategies, plans and programs other than those listed above, the implementation of which may cause a significant impact on the Natura2000 area, if they are not directly related to or result from the protection of the Natura2000 area;
Changes to the above-mentioned documents;
Documents other than the aforementioned, and amendments to these documents, if the implementation of their provisions or their amendments may cause significant environmental impacts.
