From February 2024, we are implementing – in consortium with our partner ‘Pectore – Eco’ – a nationwide water management project involving the development, environmental impact assessment and publication of new Water Maintenance Plans (WMPs) that will be in force within the boundaries of the 11 RZGWs of the National Water Management Authority (link).
The existing PUWs of 2016 will be replaced by new ones based on current legislation including, inter alia, a new division of the boundaries of water administration units, taking into account the establishment of new RZGWs in Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Lublin and Rzeszów.
Substantive work on the planned maintenance activities and their impacts has already been completed (Phases I and II, as of August 2024). Further stages of the contract will include the development of environmental impact forecasts for each of the PUWs, as well as consultations with government administration bodies (GDOŚ, GIS, UM, Voivodes) and public consultations to be held in January 2025.
Planned completion of the project and publication of local legislation – PUWs within the boundaries of RZGW including water regions – December 2025.
